We were delighted when Tina and James contacted us to be their wedding photographers at Eltham Palace. We’re local to the 1930s Eltham Palace, built by the wealthy Courtauld family next to the remains of Eltham Palace, childhood home of Henry VIII, it’s among the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in England. The gardens are beautiful and there are plenty of places for us to take wedding Photographs inside and out, so a great venue if you are worried about the weather on your day!
We met James in the morning of the wedding just outside the venue and captured some really fun shots with his best man and some of his other guests who had arrived early. Tina arrived looking stunning and a little nervous! The service took place in the stunning entrance hall, with all the guests seated around the edge of the room with Tina and James and the registrar taking centre stage! There was lots of laugher during the relaxed service and even more when we crawled along the floor to get some photos of the whole room and stunning ceiling.
The guests enjoyed some celebratory drinks on the patio while we had a chance to walk around the whole of the palace gardens with Tina and James and champagne in tow! We managed some fabulous shots of this lovely couple and then continued inside to capture some more photos in the medieval great hall and the luxurious gold tiled bathroom. The couple decided that they were going to have their reception at a local Indian restaurant in New Eltham, even though Tina was slightly worried about getting curry on her dress!
