Today I had Catherine and her family come to the studio for a family portrait photography session. We had previously met Catherine at Lark in the Park Ladies Night where she had seen us exhibiting our family portrait photographer skills! She had asked if she could bring their dog along to be in the photos too, we are pet friendly and particularly like labradors!
Catherine had decided on the whole family wearing similar colours for the shoot. They were an easy going family and once they had realised how relaxed I am in the studio they were soon feeling at home and we had some fun and got some great shots! I love to let families feel they can be themselves in the studio and this family did, I like to capture families in unopposed for shots aswell as some posed (but fun) ones too! The children all took turns to have piggy backs with dad and have cuddles with mum, we got some lovely shots of the kids together running and having fun on the beanbag.
Catherine’s children all took turns to have their photographs taken alone and also all had some taken with Lucy the dog who happily obliged! We took some family portraits of them all and with their dog and I took some of mum & dad alone – we often never get around to having photos as a couple once we’ve had children so I like to incorporate a few of these in the family portrait shoots too. Thank you guys it was a really fun shoot was lovely meeting you all.
