We have something for everyone from newborns, teenager and kids photo parties, families, pregnant mums, couples, portfolio and headshots or maybe just you on your own at a boudoir shoot! After every portrait photography session we will invite you back to our studio so you can view your images and make a selection. Please feel rest assured there will be no sales pressure however, we know you will please with the results.
We are now only using a studio at Tunbridge Wells, this is within easy reach of Crowborough, Tonbridge, Maidstone and Medway Towns.
Studio Portrait Photography – Q & A
How long does the studio session last?
A standard studio shoot will last one hour, we find this is enough time to capture around 100 shots which we will then filter down to 30 of the best. We have found children have a time limit when it comes to posing no matter how hard we (or the parents) try!
Do I need to bring a change of clothes and what sort of clothes should we wear?
You don’t need to change clothes but a lot of people do bring a change especially for children. You may also want to have some photos in casual and smart clothes – it’s completely up to you! We also recommend that you don’t wear white as the studio background is white and we think colours look best!
My child doesn’t like having their photo taken!
Don’t worry we have lots of experience in dealing with children and we know some don’t like being in front of a camera. We try to make the session as fun as possible and we will be trying to capture images of your child running around and not just posed shots. We have lots of toys and it’s always a good idea to bring some of their toys and maybe some treats for a reward, we find bribery normally works! 😉
If I buy a copyright free disc will the images be good enough for me to get a canvas printed?
Yes! All our images are high resolution and of a good enough quality for canvas and large image printing.
Why would I purchase a copyright free disc?
Purchasing the copyright means you arrange the printing yourself. You are able to print images in whatever sizes and however many copies you wish from just 8p a print from some online companies. It also enables you to create gifts (ie calendars, mugs & fill your digital photo frame, the list is endless)! This is a great option if you want to give family members/friends photos from your shoot.
I’ve seen other photographers can come to your house with a mobile studio, do you offer this?
We prefer to have sittings at one of our studios as there is plenty of room to shoot large groups and full length shots and for children to run and jump around for lots of contemporary images. We also have lots of props too and find children are less distracted outside of their home environment.
How many people can you fit in the studio?
We have photographed large families of around 10/12 people. If you have a larger group that would not fit in our studios we can meet you at an outside location of your choice, please see our lifestyle/location page.
What happens after the studio session, when do I get to see my photos?
We will work through all your images and select the best from all that were taken. We will then put them through our first edit process where we will crop, colour balance and apply effects to some of the images. You will be invited to view your images around one week later via our password protected online gallery. We would like you to get back to us within one week with your order.
When will my photos be ready?
We will call you when your images are ready, this will normally be around 4 weeks after you have made your choices. You may collect from the studio or we can post for a small charge.
